Solution providers hoping to capitalize on the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) market need to keep up with the IoT investments being made by the largest vendors in the space in order to better align with them.
This week’s IoT headlines include the defection of Cisco's IoT executive to Verizon, Intel’s acquisition of IoT startup Yogitech and Microsoft’s introduction of a new 64-bit version of Windows 10 IoT Core Pro.
Channel partners looking to enter the IoT market should heavily scrutinize these IoT investments being made through acquisitions, projects and new hires, as the IoT market is poised for rich-revenue service opportunities. IoT will support total services spending of $235 billion in 2016, up 22 percent from 2015, according to a recent report from Gartner.
