Microsoft Launches Open Translators To Things
Also on Tuesday, Microsoft launched a new IoT project, Open Translators to Things, whose goal is to make it easier for application developers to interact with "things," according to a blog post by Jean Paoli, Microsoft's president of open technologies.
The idea is to allow developers to write only once the exact same code to access functionalities that are shared across similar IoT applications. The software is open to a wide community "from industry organizations to startups, from manufacturers to students, from enterprise to hobbyists," Paoli said.
