If newly-appointed leaders at Marco aren’t sufficiently competent or are unable to develop a following, Warrey said the company will quickly remove them from their roles.
“We don’t give people much time to flounder,” Warrey said. “If they were good at their job before we promoted them … we put them back into that.”
Marco does not treat the move out of leadership as a demotion, and does everything it can to help those employees keep their dignity. As a result, Marco still has eight to 10 people who were moved out of leadership roles and back into pre-promotion sales or services roles.
