The Deloitte survey found a big rise in the percentage of organizations in which IT department leaders are driving technology adoption. What caused that over the last year?

The initial forays into things like cloud and Internet of Things have proven to be successful … not only in achieving a business result but … doing so at a much lower investment than, say, previous technology transitions. I think that combination of getting it done quicker and cheaper than … in the past, but also using it to get demonstrable business results, has changed the conversation that the CIO is able to have with the other C-level executives.
