Feeling Secure In The Cloud

Can’t See What Users Are Up To
Sixty-nine percent of respondents fear that migrating to the cloud would increase risks of unauthorized access, while 43 percent are afraid of wider hijacking of accounts. Other areas of concern include malware infiltrations (cited by 36 percent of respondents), denial of service (31 percent), insider misuse (26 percent) and insecure API (24 percent).
This is the area where companies “start to get nervous,” said Allen Falcon, CEO of Cumulus Global, a cloud solution provider based in Westborough, Mass. As an example, he cited a company’s lack of control over an employee’s sharing a document that resides within a cloud-based application with someone outside the company.
“There’s some education that needs to happen with the users,” Falcon said in an interview with IT Best of Breed.
