Intel Closes Chip Products To Focus On IoT
Intel is undergoing an internal reorganization to focus more on emerging markets. Intel revealed this month that it has killed off three of its SoFIA chip products for smartphones as the vendor retreats from the mobile market. SoFIA was launched in 2014 as a low-cost integrated application processor and baseband chip.
In April, Intel acquired IoT startup Yogitech to boost Intel's development of IoT technology safety and applications.
