Some companies will be able to make a smoother transition to cloud-based services than others. 
Falcon said if you have managed service providers who already have a monthly or annual reoccurring revenue model, a cloud-based service isn’t much different than selling a server with ongoing monitoring support and management.  
“The break-fix or block hour support type providers have a much bigger transition,” said Falcon. “Selling cloud is a little different, you need different skillsets in operation and your support people. You probably need more administrative work on vendor and license management.”
