Cisco On Everyone's Mind

Out of the 153 medium and large businesses surveyed, Cisco "by far" was named the most by enterprises when asked who they considered to be the top three SDN hardware or software vendor, according to the study.

At approximately 71 percent, Cisco lead the way, followed by IBM, Juniper Networks and VMware.

"We are pulling away from our competitors and leading in both the SDN thought leadership and customer implementations," Cisco CEO John Chambers said during a conference earnings call in February.
