Technical Requirements

The job description says the federal CISO requires extensive technical experience in information security. Some of those skills include "understanding complex, interconnected, modern web and other current technology platforms/system architectures, software development practices, and cybersecurity solutions; securing enterprise IT architectures, networks, systems, data, and applications, to include mobile and customer facing applications; and leading responses to large-scale cyber incidents."

The job description also says that the CISO must have experience working with large enterprises and an understanding of the corresponding policies, product implementations, strategies and threat landscapes.

All these are mandatory, the description says.
