5 New Cisco IoT Products Partners Should Look At

LPWAN Solution

Approximately 45 percent of all IoT devices are constrained by battery power and require long connectivity range for IoT, according to Cisco. To solve this issue, the vendor revealed it has combined low-power wide-area-network (LPWAN) with Wifi and cellular technologies designed to connect billions of low-battery powered and long-distance IoT sensors.

The offering provides customers a fully integrated architecture -- which includes Cisco's IoT Field Network Director -- to enable service providers and enterprises to solve business outcomes. Cisco says there's a wide range of use cases for partners to sell the solution around industrial or smart-city applications such as intelligent buildings, street lighting and asset tracking.
