2. Challenges To Mobile App Adoptions

Although 87 percent of executives acknowledge that mobile apps are necessary to fully realizing the benefits of digital technology in the workplace, businesses are also facing fundamental challenges to adopting and maintaining apps.

Nearly half of the surveyed executives said they feel the user interfaces of their companies' mobile apps' are "substandard," while less than half said security remains their overriding concern with business-specific mobile apps.

Meanwhile, executives expressed concerns that their companies experience a variety of challenges in building and managing apps.

According to Accenture, one underlying reason behind these challenges is that companies haven't implemented measures to facilitate the successful adoption of mobile apps, such as regular updates to functionality, the ability to exchange real-time data via the cloud, and a comprehensive testing program that includes real user feedback.
