Lower Revenue Than Expected
Greg Barnum, Datalink CFO and vice president of administration, said during his company's fourth quarter financial analyst conference that Bear Data contributed $16 million to Datalink's total fourth-quarter revenue, but had been expected to contribute $20 million.
As a result, Datalink in February reported revenue for the fourth fiscal quarter 2014, which ended December 31, of $186.4 million, up 7.5 percent over the $173.4 million the company reported for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2013. Those figures included the Bear Data revenue.
Revenue for full-year 2014, including Bear Data revenue, reached $630.2 million, up 6.1 percent compared to the $594.2 million Datalink reported for 2013. Not counting the Bear Data revenue, 2014 revenue was up 3.4 percent over last year, Datalink reported.
