3. Organizations Are Embracing More Agile Technologies

In addition to implementing a mobile app strategy, companies are also looking to implement newer, more agile technologies to efficiently tackle mobile development and integration.

According to Red Hat's survey, 85 percent of respondents said open-source software is important to their app development strategies. Meanwhile, 31 percent of respondents said they use mobile-backend-as-a-service (MBaaS) to tackle back-end integration.

MBaaS is a cloud computing category comprised of companies that make it easier for developers to set up, use and operate a cloud back end for mobile, tablet and web apps. Red Hat said that the 31 percent of businesses that use this service are expected to grow to 36 percent in the next two years.
