Q&A: SADA Systems CEO On Public Cloud Security
Submitted by Rick Saia on
The survey said 16 percent of IT professionals said they don't have the skills in-house to manage public cloud. Is that just a matter of not being able to find the right skills? Or just relying on trusted outside help?
In any new paradigm shift with a completely new technology … I think that's not a rare position for these guys to be in. Part of it is [that] most IT organizations have sort of a subset of their team that's sort of waiting for retirement … and unwilling and unable to learn new stuff. …
The good news is all these sort of mathematicians and rocket scientists and physicists … [are] actually coming to work in tech. But even then, partly due to … our inability as a country to produce the amount of engineering talent that we need, resources are scarce … For us, we have 150 people now, we have 30 open requisitions, and we see ourselves [trying to fill] leadership positions.
