Hybrid Cloud/IT As A Service Broker

Companies have some stuff in the cloud, and some out, and Gaughan doesn't see that changing. What should change is the way IT departments operate. You're not just the "techies on the 10th floor anymore." IT departments should become advisors or brokers. "You go from being the doer, and now you have a (service) provider. You're the broker. You need to be able to rep and broker services, act as a liaison between providers and employees and customers. You're not going to walk away, but ask yourself, what do I need to do differently when I'm a broker of external services, not the provider of those services?"
