Year-over-year growth in license bookings for VMware's NSX software-defined networking technology, according to CFO Zane Rowe. Strong growth in SDN, as well as software-defined storage and end user computing, helped lead VMware to a strong fiscal first quarter, the company announced. VMware officials said they also expect its VMware Cloud on AWS service to have a successful rollout.
