Extra costs Hewlett Packard Enterprise plans to wring out. CEO Meg Whitman said the company is set to take the next step in its transformation into a smaller and faster-moving company with a plan to trim those costs in the second half of this year. "We have just gone through one of the largest transformations maybe in American business history," she said, referring to HPE's spin-in of its Enterprise Services business into DXC Technology, the upcoming spin-in of its software assets to Micro Focus, and HPE's split 18 months ago from what is now HP Inc. "Now we are very focused on the go-forward Hewlett Packard Enterprise financial architecture."
