Move Away From Wearables

Defining IoT can be tricky since it’s part of everything from network connectivity to data analysts and sensors, trickling into various markets, including health care, manufacturing and transportation.

One of the few areas on the decline for app developers is in wearables. The amount of IoT developers targeting that market declined from 28 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014 to 21 percent in the second quarter 2015. 

"Hype alone could not sustain developer involvement in wearables," says VisionMobile.

The report says developers are adjusting where to invest their time and effort, and they're not picking the wearables market.
