From Software-Defined To Software-Based

Dell research indicates that next-generation data center infrastructure will be both software-defined and software-based due to the transformational effect next-generation non-volatile memory technologies will have on the data center. As a result of this fundamental shift, Dell believes there will be specialized clouds focused on the needs of specific industry verticals, such as health care and telecommunications, which will require the development of a next generation of cloud technology.
