While the poor security of public networks, such as coffee shops and hotels, is fairly widely understood, Jeremy Galloway argued in a briefing that users and business owners should be paying more attention to the threats posed by short-term rentals, such as AirBnb. Those threats could include man-in-the-middle traffic hijacking, accessing illegal content, device exploitation and more.
