NASCIO's Doug Robinson On The State Of State Government

As the data we log is growing exponentially, is it becoming almost impossible to secure?

A lot of that data would probably be transactional data that probably doesn't have to be so secure because it's in the public domain, but if it's law enforcement or body worn camera, that has to be secured, because immediately that gets turned in and becomes evidence. I think local police departments are going to be struggling with that, so that becomes a cloud storage opportunity for a lot of folks. I think the future is really going to be dealing with the data and there is no doubt mobility is going to be a major driver.
